The
Seymour Police Department Honor Guard Team
was formed in 2005. It consists of 5 dedicated officers; Cpl Michael Cooper, Sergeant Greg O'Brien, Cpl
Jason Wynn, Officer John Watson and Officer Keith Williams. These officers are a part of this team on a voluntary
basis and are devoted to the honor and tradition of the presentation of The Colors.
While forming
this team, the decisions were naturally made to honor the tradition and history found within our city. The
uniform is reminiscent of the World War II Pilot Uniform in honor of our city's history with the Freeman Army Air Field. It can be seen leading the local VJ Day parade with the local chapter of the VFW.
The team presents The Colors at other events such as the local high school basketball games, city events and meetings,
and has presented The Colors at Conseco Field House as a part of the opening events for the Indiana Pacers
Basketball Team.
